`Julie Crammond is alive and kicking

Hi everyone,

many would know Julie Crammond has been very unwell the past few months. She was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. I spoke to Julie today and she asked me to let everyone know she has had great news. Her cancer has been detected in the very early stages and appears operable and hopefully without the need for Chemo. She would like to thank all her trialing friends who have asked after her.

In true Julie style she said she expects to now become the very worst anti smoker and ex smoker anyone has ever met!!!!!! Although she wont make the National she is over joyed to know there will still be enough blow in the old lungs for more whistle blowing at trials in the not to distant future.

Hi Julie,

This is fantastic that it has been detected in the early stages. I like you gave up smoking when I was diagnosed with Cancer although mine was not smoking related. Look forward to seeing you at future trials.

Hi Everyone,

Andrew rang tonight to say Julie's operation went very well. The cancer hand not spread outside of one lobe in the lung. The surgeons removed the lobe and are very happy with the outcome so far. Julie is in ICU for another couple of days and hopefully home in a week or so. She then has to finish recovery before precautionary chemo to maximise her chances of a full cure.

Julie took the "family phonebook" with her to hospital so Andrew has access to hardly anybodies phone numbers. He said to say thanks to everyone who has enquired about Julie.

Annie,
I would like to think you are safe from the "great big lump yank". I hear from reliable sources his manners are exemplary these days.......

Gareth,
You may not have heard the story but when I 'popped' down the road to watch the SA Nationals and shared the cottage with Julie I pulled up in her little drive way in my campervan and Yank all muddy and wet still was delighted to say hallo, then suddenly 'twigged' that he could jump up and take a look at the world from the front seat of the camper, so from a standing start he leapt onto the front seat, upon which Clancy the Whippet was curled up! About then Clancy became rather indignant at being leapt upon by a big wet muddy Yank - Whippets have no sense of humour when something or someone makes them wet and dirty!

Thankyou everyone. Telephone calls, Emails, Cards, flowers and even a spa voucher. Wow.

I am coping with Chemotherapy well. All various tests have been as positive as possible, bearing in mind the original diagnosis (adenocarcinoma of the left lower lobe - lung).

My tumour had clear margins and all tested lymph nodes are clear as well.

Very lucky Julie. Very!!!
