A sad sight?

Guys,
Not "Retrieving" related, but whatever your beliefs regarding deer hunting and hounds, seeing 6 healthy working foxhounds in a Hilux out the front of the Vet's this morning was not a pretty sight. I wonder if any came out alive?

Hi Con,

Hounds run in packs don't make good pets and therefore, realistically, aren't rehoming prospects. Personally, I'd rather see healthy dogs having a fantastic, but relatively short, life than the neglected, miserable ones which spend their whole lives chained up or locked in a small back yard.

If the owner was having them euthanased at least he was having it done humanely by a vet. I know some pigdog owners that wouldn't have spent 5c on a bullet.
