I just had a look at the proposed rule changes. In particular those from Victoria, I am I the only person in Australia that thinks a well trained retriever should stop to shot.

As for it not adding to the function of a retriever, WHAT RUBBISH. If you want to understand the value of a dog that stops to shot on the way out to or on the way back from a retrieve come hunting with me and I will gladly show you.

I believe the most basic requisite of a well trained retriever is that it should be steady to shot and fall, no matter where it is.
