VALE - BILL REEKIE

Postby Kerry Webster » Thu 09 May 2013 3:12 pm

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Bill Reekie from W.A., who passed away last Sunday, aged 80.

Bill has not been involved in the retrieving scene for some time, but older trialing members will remember him winning the National Championships in 1971 and in 1975.

RIP

Hi Kerry,

Please pass on to Bill's family Pam and my deepest sympathy, especially as I have had the great pleasure of competing with as well as being judged by Bill. The NSW State Championship co-judged by Peter Halford and Bill, which was won by Doug Cocks, was one such occasion that readily springs to mind.

Kindest regards, Robert & Pam Tawton.

Hi Kerry,

Jane and I a very saddened by the news, it was only 2 days ago when visiting Bill and Pat Loftus we were reminiscing about old trials and handlers when we thought of Bill and Beryl Reekie.

Bill loved retrieving trials as well as his fishing, Bill was always a pleasant person to talk to.

Please pass on our condolences to Bill's family.

Joe and Jane
