New Retriever Trialling Club

Postby Greg Playdon » Wed 04 May 2016 4:44 pm

Recently a new retrieving club has been established in Gippsland by a group of likeminded people who enjoy training and trialling purebred gundogs, also teaching and training fellow competitors and the wider retrieving community.

The GIPPSLAND RETRIEVING CLUB was formed late last year and a request for affiliation with Dogs Victoria has recently been accepted.
We have 30 members from all over the country and wish to thank these people for their ongoing support, the committee is now contemplating a retrieving trial and RATG test later this year, subject to approvals.

The club will also hold a retriever training day in Bairnsdale in conjunction with Field and Game Australia on Saturday 21st of May, this will be the fifth training day held by this group in the Gippsland Region.

What a fantastic initiative! I was so impressed by the work done by the committee, their partners and the Victorian Gundog Club to ensure that the Easter Trial was a resounding success. Augers well for the future! Congratulations to you all
