Congratulations to the team that conducted the Retrieving demonstration at the Dogs NSW 'Dogs on Show' day yesterday. This is an annual event run by Dogs NSW at their grounds which showcases all canine activities to the general public; in other words an open day. So there is a show, agility, obedience, herding, earthdogs, Jack Russell racing,K9 Scent scramble, and of course RETRIEVING demonstrations. There were also many breed and information stands. The event was opened by the Governor of NSW.

The Retrieving demonstrations were popular with the public, with ongoing demos throughout the day. It was an opportunity to train our dogs as well. As the public watched the demos some of the team explained what the dogs were doing and what trialling was about. Lots of people were interested in the Gundog breeds and what the dogs can do. The numbers of the public were a little lower than last year but there was still plenty of interest. Hopefully some will take up Retrieving Trials or RATG. But at least there were lots of comments about how well trained the dogs are.

Thanks to our team: Pam, Ken, Dori, Jenny D, Jenny P, Flo, Carol and Jeff

Well done guys (sorry, apparently that is a politically incorrect term these days, I did not mean to be gender specific)
