The CAWA has announced the Top Dog in Retrieving for 2004 in Western Australia.
This year the title goes to Heather Ellis and her Golden Retriever, R.T. Ch Ellishea Asks Gypsy (Gypsy).
Runner Up for the second consecutive year, was Kerry Webster and Tosca (R.T.Ch Mhadaidh Hot Cinnamon CDX), and next was Maggie Hankinson and Guinness (R.T.Ch Altiquin Stern).
Top Score points are awarded to first, second and third placegetters in All Age trials held over the season. A dog must have won (first place) an All Age stake before becoming eligible for points.
Points are allocated as 9 points for first, 6 points for second and 3 points for third.
In 2004, Gypsy and Heather had six 1st places, one 2nd place and one 3rd place.
Tosca and Kerry had three 1st places, five 2nd places and one 3rd place.
Guinness and Maggie had two 1st places, five 2nd places and one 3rd place.
