The 2024 National, together with the Victorian State Championship and the Labrador Club lead up trial will be held in Bairnsdale. Bairnsdale is a major town of 18000 people situated 3 hours east of Melbourne. East Gippsland is a major tourist area with well known towns such as Lakes Entrance, Paynesville, Metung etc within 30 minutes drive from Bairnsdale.

RAFT has reserved 25 powered sites and 8 cabins in the NRMA operated caravan park, Mitchell Gardens Caravan Park. This park is situated on the Mitchell River within walking distance of the town shopping centre. Hotels, cafe's, supermarkets and all major services are available in the town and are mostly within walking distance of the park. There is excellent dog exercise areas in the immediate vicinity including a "river walk" next to the park which runs along both sides of the Mitchell River. All functions during the 3 weeks of trialling will be held in Bairnsdale.

The park will hold these bookings for us for 3 weeks and then open them up to the public. Consequently, anybody attending this event would be advised to get in during this 3 week period and secure a site or cabin.

When making a booking please reference the National Dog Event.
