Jeff left out the good bit. Baxter (Jukeran Special Vintage) gained his NRA title at yesterday's trial. Now there are two of us. I was dreading having to judge so many entries but finished up having a wonderful day - it was lots of fun. As always, I was really sorry when dogs didn't pass but fortunately there weren't too many that didn't and even then they did some wonderful work. Keep it up people. There were initially 26 entries which was why it was a little unnerving.

Congratulations, Kerry and Baxter!
You too, Pam. You got through all of us very efficiently.

I'm still chuffed that my old girl (Poppi) got 4th place. She got some nice bacon for breakie the next day as her reward.

Congratulations on another great new trial. Would it be possible for you to let us know who the other finishers were. I am sure all passes would love to get a mention on here.

Which area are you finding that most dogs are failing in.

Congratulations to everyone who did well at the trial and to the new title holder also.
Well done to you Pam as the judge, I know you were a little worried about getting through in time, sounds like you did a great job!

I believe that there was one point between 8th and 9th but my memory is not always the best.

I had so much fun judging you all after being so worried about numbers etc it all just fell into place beautifully.

There were a couple of novice dogs (and handlers) who messed up the handover after retrieving. One actually missed out on a title because of it. Dog spat out the dummy and handler picked it up and one which spat out both dummies. Every dog did something really wonderful, though, so even those who didn't qualify did themselves (and their dogs) proud. The only open dog which didn't qualify was a bit worried about her ears (suspected ear infection) so we can't blame her for not finding her dummies - she also had a bit of a problem initially when someone was far too close to our area.

Is it possible, Lara, to change the category on the bulletin board to the correct name of Retrieving Ability Test instead of Retriever. Makes it look like it is only for retrievers.
