Another great weekend was had by all who attended Maitland’s Triple RATG at Tocal. The weather was good with only some mild showers for most of the two days which kept the temperature perfect for gundog work. The three judges put on excellent and challenging runs for RATG in each of the trial levels which gave the dogs the opportunity to display their capabilities. The standard of work of the dogs in both levels was very good. The quality of the Open dog work that was displayed in the Tocal environment should be encouraging for their handlers to step up to Novice retrieving Trials with confidence.

Congratulations to the club for putting on such a wonderful weekend. The grounds are suberb for trialling. Not often do we have RATG trials that have great water and terrain to work with. Some terrific dog work (handlers still need a bit of work!!) that showed in all the qualifications and titles gained. A great pleasure to judge these beautiful dogs. I see no reason why any of the dogs would not be competitive in a retrieving trial and indeed winning. Hope to see most of you out there next season giving it a go.
To those who didn't make it to Tocal this time it really is a "must do" event. You really should keep it in mind for next year. Congratulations again Maitland club

I would agree whole heartedly with Lynnes comments. Great event, great property, good work by the dogs & handlers conducted in a very friendly & sporting manner. It certainly is an event not to be missed
