The first trial for the year down here and the weather wasn't too bad! Numbers are still low, but we had a couple of new novice dogs which is encouraging.
The trial was a double All Age, Restricted and Novice - held in the Cressy area (Northern Midlands).
Bill Hepburn (Tas) judged Saturday's All Age with five starters and unfortunately no finishers. Kate Eltringham (Vic) judged the Restricted with four starters and again no finishers. Sunday was better....
Noel Etringham (Vic) judged both the All Age and the Novice with Bill Hepburn's Rt Ch Reveirter Snow Storm (Lab Dog) 'Tug' the only finisher out of 6 dogs and winner on 126 points.
Five Novice dogs started with three finishers. 1st on 123 points was Steve Koulmandas' Canawindra Con Cocted (GSP dog) 'Jack', 2nd on 113 points was Ian Axton's Strathesk Lucinda Brown 'Lucy' and 3rd on 109 points was Kelvin Wilkinson-Reed's Wrangham Silver Moon (ESS bitch) 'Ellie'.
