Apologies to all for the tardiness of the trial schedule being posted, having said that we can confirm that the trial will once again be in the Geelong area.

You will see that we are once again having a Beginners Test, to assist those potential trialers out there who may be considering entering their first trial, the committee in consultation with the judge, Mr Trevor Stevens will run a training session before commencing the Beginners Test. This will hopefully allow any new trialers to put themselves and their dogs through some of the requirements of the Beginners Test before the test commences.

QUALIFICATIONS: A ‘BEGINNERS TEST’ is a test provided for Gundogs that have never been placed in any stake or which have never won any other Beginners Test or Water Test.
A ‘NOVICE STAKE’ is a stake confined to Gundogs that have not won three (3) Novice Stakes or any other stake, Puppy Stake and Beginners Test excluded.
A ‘RESTRICTED STAKE’ is a stake confined to Gundogs that have not won three (3) Restricted Stakes, or an All Age Stake or been placed first or second in a Championship Stake.

PLEASE NOTE: At all Retrieving and Field Trials conducted in Victoria, a competitor MUST produce a current shooters licence at vetting, or they WILL NOT be permitted to compete at the trial. The Trial Committee reserves the right to appoint a licensed shooter to shoot for the handler in the Beginners Test to simulate normal shooting conditions should the handler not be licensed to handle a firearm.

TRIAL VENUES: Properties used for Trials are private properties and MUST NOT be revisited after the trial. Entry for the Trial is subject to this condition. All vehicles are to be left in the area identified for parking.
