Congratulations Prue on your first RT CH

Postby Gareth Tawton » Mon 25 Jan 2010 4:57 pm

I hear on the grape vine Prue Winkfield won both AA on the weekend. I don't have the rest of the results but understand the entries were in the mid 20's and Prue was a clear winner both days. Saturday saw Prue and Joy, that's now RT CH Yorifeld Joy to the World, gain there title. They then backed it up the next day. Well done Prue and Joy on a wonderful effort. Just reward for a lot of hard work, time and effort. Well done Prue and Joy!!!!!

Congratulations Prue - great results! Keep up the good work.

Before you know it everyone will be wanting a GSP. Waiting lists are growing already.

See you at Benalla with a GSP from "oop North"

Cheers - Alan

Thank you all so much for these kind words and support. Must say, titling one of my dogs is something I thought would never happen, at least not by me, and is a wild fantasy come true! It is very special to me personally and I hope will encourage the ladies and GSP owners generally who compete in Victoria.

As a matter of interest in the 30 years since I started trialling there have only been at most half a dozen women competing in All Age. In the history of the sport only two have titled a dog in Victoria - Terri Matthews in 1977 and the late Val Bucklow in 1964 (info from Jack M). The last Victorian GSP to title was 20 years' ago. Don't know why we are so different from other States but am sure it will not be 33 years before another lady handler with or without a GSP titles a dog in Victoria!

CONGRATULATIONS PRUE!!!

Postby Jadine MacKenzie » Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:14 pm

This is fantastic news, Prue!
Congratulations on Joy's title, and may your recent success be followed by many more.
The competition over there is tough, and I know that you have been knocking at the door with Joy for a while now.
And it's so nice to see a GSP (one of the "minority" breeds) hold their own amongst the Labs.
:P :P :P WELL DONE! :P :P :P
Best wishes,

Well done prue

I think a slow trickle may be turning into a flood. You finished the year with a head of steam and have rolled right into 2010 with the same momentum.
Word from a grey haired source said that you won it in the water. No mean feet, lots of had work and grit.
