Yorick Memorial Trophy for the highest scoring novice dog over both days was won by Russell Thomas with Inkaline Krakka Jack - well done Rusell and about time a GSP managed to win it.

What a great weekend for GSP's! They won each stake on Saturday and were first in one stake and second in the other two on Sunday. I feel that I am allowed to mention this seeming as it was a GSP trial. How fantastic for Prue, Gareth has already stolen my thunder but I cannot post the results without mentioning her elation at gaining her title and then backing up on Sunday to show how consistent her dog has become - great stuff Prue.

A fantastic trial site, sorry that it is on the wrong side of town for some but I am sure you will agree that it is worth the extra time to get there.

Dreadful wind storm on Friday night that had us all out at 2am pulling down annexes, putting up awnings and generally battening down the hatches. It didnt let up either with strong winds all day Saturday too. Sunday was perfect though, high 20's and a light breeze, very nice indeed. Who wants to be dead when we can be on property's like this on days like that?

Congratulations to the GSP on securing a wonderful site for the trial. It was a joy to judge on Saturday (regardless of the wind) and I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and as always the conversation and generally catching up with our Doggy friends.
It was interesting to judge under the new scoring system with 65 points for each run and allocating 45 points for the retrieve which does now put more focus on the working aspect of the run.
I look forward to travelling to Sale again next year.
