GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB NOVICE & RESTR. 22/5/11

The Golden Retriever Club held a Novice & Restricted trial for the second year, this time on the Hotham River at Crossman. Two days before the event there was wet stuff from the sky. Yes.....it rained !! Suddenly, we went from some pools of water, to the river flowing and having risen several feet. Also, this made the initial run selection dubious. Out came the waders and a couple of us ventured across the river to set out throwers. In the end, everything worked out, although there were some delays in altering Novice runs. A huge thankyou to Jean and Dave Henderson, Carolyn Read and Caroline Sheridan for coming down purely to work in the trials, and to Donna Blackman for her day as Chief Steward.

2nd: Ch Zirius Fox in Sox QND(NSDT Ret. bitch) Zoe Slights 169 points

3rd: Moralana Coopers Rose QND (Lab. Ret. bitch) Lynne Strang 168 points

In fourth place was Ironbark Stop Press and Cheryl Wood with 166 points.

2nd: Winterset Moonlite Gambler NRD (Golden Ret. Dog) Kerry Webster 154 points

3rd: Boomermagic Halloween Hero QND (Lab. Ret Dog) Allan Bartram 147 points

In fourth place was Ch Fionavar Red Hot Gamble and Iain MacDonald with 143 points.
