The Gundog Club held their first retrieving stake of the year at the 2012 National site near Northam. We were lucky in that we had brilliant sunshine for the whole trial, while the metro area suffered heavy showers over the day. Competitors in the trial, all took a turn at being field steward which contributed to the smooth running of the trial, and special thanks go to Marilyn Dawson for taking on the role of Chief Steward and Gun Steward, and doing a grand job of it. Runs were testing and the scores reflected that, and well done to Mike McClure for putting up another challenging trial.
