QLD Championship 3/4th August 2013

QLD championship was held in Bundaberg on a lovely property with huge expanses of water, gullies & a lot of cover. The weather was excellent trialing weather although relatively hot yesterday.
3 runs were contested on Saturday with 8 dogs finishing & going into Sunday,a further 4 dogs failed the 4th run with the remaining 4 dogs getting through the final 2 runs.

2nd; Paul Towning with Winterset Moonraker RRD. GR D 307pts
3rd; Dom Colasimone handling W.Michalks RTCh Jagacey Nugget Moon. GSP D 300pts
4th; Laurel Draper with RTCh OC Lydstep Tanner. Lab B 267pts.

Congratulations Prue on Torns win.

Many would not know Torn has only just completed his first season in Utilty Field trials and is only one win away from his FT CH. Only 3 weeks ago he placed second in an open field trial. To win a state title in retrieving on only a few weeks turn around is an outstanding effort and a true testiment to this dogs utility breeding. Congratulations Prue as both a handler and breeder!!!
