Marg & Steve,
We are unable to be there on your special night (3500km is a bit of a drive each way!) However we hope you have a wonderful evening. Your efforts over the years for the sport of Retrieving have been remarkable, and is is great to see that "The man in the Big Black Hat' and the lady who has lent her organisational and secretarial skills to so many events are being recognised in such a great way.
We will raise a glass to you from WA on Saturday evening....Enjoy .

Cheers
Allan & Catherine

The wind was 12 knots with an eastern breeze the temperature hovered between 7 to 16C all day, with plenty of light, conditions where ideal.

This was a fantastic day ran by the VCG in honour of Steve and Margaret Hall for their contribution to Australian Trialling over the years.
The evening was finished with a camp style hot dinner and a small presentation by the Club & Committee.

Steve and I would like to thank the VGC for putting on a fantastic dinner for us on Saturday night.
Thanks especially to Siobhan for the wonderful food which everybody enjoyed and to Gareth and Richard for organising everything at the trial site.

There was a large marquee and proper tables and chairs (unusual for a trial) and of course lots of friends.

Steve and I have over the last 40 years made some wonderful friends all over the country and we have enjoyed coming to trials not only in the hope of winning but also for a weekend away in the country and to catch up with everybody and especially enjoy watching fantastic dog work.

We will be still coming along to trials in 2015 and hope to get to the National next year after Steve has his hip replacement (November 2014) and he becomes more mobile again.
I am retiring from work at the end of the year so look forward to more time to travel and also get to trials again.

We have always loved contributing to the trial fraternity in a variety of ways over the years and I am sure I will probably end up doing something again especially if I have more time on my hands in retirement.......

Thanks again everybody Steve and I were very moved by your thoughts and for showing us your appreciation in this way.
