RETRIEVING AUSTRALIA FORUM

Run 5 is a blind and double fall. The dog goes out of sight on the way to the Mark at the critical time that the double fall is fired. The double fall lands just inside of the handler in the open water at the corner of the dam. After getting the Mark the dogs get the blind which is a distance entry into water. A few dogs have run the left bank on the blind while others have had trouble on the double fall bird.

We lost Di McCann with Lani and Dom Colasimone with Viper.

Run 6 Ron Jackson is a blind Mark and two bird. Leave dog in hide and shoot blind reload call dog. See Mark and get blind first. On way back from blind a two bird is fired which is fired towards the return dog but lands out of sight of the handler.
Pick up Mark then the two bird. All of the first group got thru we are just starting

We lost Mal Tyrie on Run 6 leaving 5 dogs from group 1

Terrific job Wendy

Morning everyone we are about to start run 7 under Graeme Allen. It's a bright sunny day with a light breeze. It's already getting hot in the sun. All the dogs are in one group and 22. Greg Playdon will start the day.

We are running at the end of Lake Redbrook in front of the caravan park. This first shot is a general overview of the area we are running from the point that goes out in the middle of the bay.

Run 7 is a water blind and double rise. Leave the dog in a hide and walkout onto the spit. Shoot the blind,reload and call the dog. Shoot the double rise. Pickup order is blind then the double rise. The blind is a pheasant and is placed in the lilies at the point of the reeds. There is a lot of weed in the water and the blind is about 130m. The double rise falls in the dark green short weed in front of the reeds and is a pigeon.

Greg Playdon had a no bird and Elio with Shiraz was called to the pegs.
Elio failed the last bird of the double rise.
