2018 Victorian State Championship

DOGS VICTORIA STATE RETRIEVING TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR GUNDOGS
VENUE: Alexandra area
To be held under the ANKC Rules for the conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs (as per Rule 6). A copy of the rules may be inspected at the ANKC website and will be available on request.
Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2018

ENTRY FEES: $55 single entry
Please note: Payment required for Dinner with entries.
VETTING: 7 – 7.30AM STARTING TIME: 8 AM
DRAW: A draw to determine the running order will be made at the home of the Trial Secretary on Thursday, August 30, at 8pm.
TROPHIES: Trophies and Sashes will be presented for 1st - 5th places.
A full trophy list will be printed in the catalogue.
CATERING: A welcome dinner will be held on Thursday September 6, at Alexandra Race Club, 1 Gordon Street, Alexandra.
Caterers have been engaged for all days of the trial.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Championship Stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed first in a Restricted Stake, first, second or third in an All Age Stake or have the title All Age Retrieving Dog (AARD). Proof of eligibility of non-titled dogs must be included with entry form.
• A Championship Stake shall consist of not less than five (5) Runs with at least thirteen (13) items of game to be retrieved. At least two (2) Blind Find Retrieves are to be included and a dog must be tested for steadiness from behind a Hide on at least twice.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
• Dogs Victoria reserves the right to contract a reserve judge if necessary.
• Competitors must hold and carry a current and valid Firearms Licence (or copy of Corporate Licence, if applicable) whilst handling a gun.
• Trial venues are private property and must NOT BE REVISITED at any time.
• All dogs will be examined by a competent examiner each day of the trial. Bitches in oestrum will not be permitted to compete. They may be on the property but not in the vicinity of the trial site or the area of the runs. No preparation for concealing oestrum shall be used.
• ALL DOGS on the trial site must be on a lead (except when competing or being exercised). The lead must be held in the hand or the dog tethered on a lead of not more than 1.5 metres.
• It is the competitor’s responsibility to confirm that their entry has been received, a receipt will be returned if a stamped self-addressed envelope is provided.

There is a Welcome Dinner ($25 per head) on offer prior to the Victorian State Championship on Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Alexandra Race Club
The draw for the National Retrieving Trial Championship will take place at the Dinner ($30 per head) on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at the Alexandra Race Club
These events are now on Easydog Entries as Extras
To assist our catering team it would be appreciated if you would please confirm your attendance and payment with your entries.
