A travel message from Mr Dale Marsahall...

Apparently there is mis-information circulating regarding travel processes on the ship with a dog. The facts are...

- Download Animal Indemnity / declaration Form. This allows a dog or dogs to travel in the vehicle.
- Dogs do not have to be crated in a vehicle.
- No vet letter is required for a dog to travel in a vehicle (this went out years ago and no money needs to be paid).
- Dogs must be wormed for Hydatids prior to sailing and receipt for the tablets must be produced at quarantine in Devonport,
- The Call centre will tell passengers they have to book and pay for a kennel, but this is just a revenue raising attempt. Dogs (and other pets) may travel in vehicles as long as they have adequate ventilation and water.

Regards
Dale

Eligibility

Notice

All competitors must prove the credentials of their Dogs to compete in the Tasmanian State Championship.
It has come to our attention that on the Ankc data base that some dogs do not have titles on their pedigrees yet do on their entries.
If you have not applied to your state body for the titles that you have entered your dog with, please do so ASAP.
As trophies/ prizes are being awarded for titled and non titled dogs we want to be 100% that the winner of these awards is allocated to the right dog.
The catalogue must be true and correct.

The form below is the only form anyone needs to travel on Spirit of Tasmania Ships----- with dogs in or on the back of vehicles------- don’t let calls centers try and charge you for kennels, no vet certificate required just a receipt for the Hydatid worming to present to quarantine in Melbourne

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ANYONE YOU KNOW IS TRAVELLING ON THE SHIP
