TASMANIAN STATE RETRIEVING TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2019
to be held in the ROSS AREA

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September 2019

Mr Ray Johnson (WA) Runs 1,3 & 5
Mr Michael Mason (SA) Runs 2,4 & 6
(This Club reserves the right to appoint a substitute judge if required)

CHECK-IN: 6.30 am.to 7.30 am each day with Gun Licence
at the Ross Community Sports Complex Park St ROSS
NB - Judging commences: asap after check-in at the discretion of the committee

ENTRY FEE:
$55.00 and $50.00 for subsequent entries
Welcome BBQ $10.00 per person payment with entries

SASHES/TROPHIES. 1st to 5th places full list of trophies will be in the Catalogue

[b]QUALIFICATIONS: 

• A Championship Stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed first in a Restricted Stake, first, second or third in an All Age Stake or have the title All Age Retrieving Dog (AARD). Proof of eligibility of non-titled dogs must be included with entry form.
• A Championship Stake shall consist of not less than five (5) Runs with at least thirteen (13) items of game to be retrieved. At least two (2) Blind Find Retrieves are to be included and a dog must be tested for steadiness from behind a Hide on at least twice.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: 
• Dogs Tasmania reserves the right to contract a reserve judge if necessary.
• Competitors must hold and carry a current and valid Firearms Licence (or copy of Corporate Licence, if applicable) whilst handling a gun.
• Trial venues are private property and must NOT BE REVISITED at any time.
• All dogs will be examined by a competent examiner each day of the trial. Bitches in oestrum will not be permitted to compete. They may be on the property but not in the vicinity of the trial site or the area of the runs. No preparation for concealing oestrum shall be used.
• All dogs on the trial site must be on a lead (except when competing or being exercised in the designated Exercise Area). Dogs retained in the hide must be tethered by a conventional collar (not choker) attached to a metal chain and to a metal tie-down peg •
• It is the competitor’s responsibility to confirm that their entry has been received, a receipt will be returned if a stamped self-addressed envelope is provided.

Check In Check starts at 6.30 am to 7.30 am both days at the Ross Sports Complex please make sure you have all dogs on leads, have you number

and you must produce your gun licence or corporate document please make sure you have all this organised prior to presenting your dog time

will be the essence lots of dogs 1 vet and a starting time of 8 am sharp

Running Order Proposed Running order this is based on a possible entry of 40 dogs as to date entries haven't closed

Day One - Ray Johnson Run 1 Catalogue order dogs 1 to 20

Mike Mason Run 2 Catalogue order dogs 21 to 40

all dogs to remain at the designated run until both fields are finished then a complete change over

Ray Johnson – Run 3 Catalogue order commencing at dog 10 to 20 then dogs 1 to 9

Mike Mason – Run 4 Catalogue order commencing at dog 30 to 40 then dogs 21 to 29

all dogs to remain at the designated run until both fields are finished then a complete change over

Saturday at the completion of judging the will be a draw for day 2 running order at the tent prior to leaving the site

Day Two Ray Johnson = Run 5 Catalogue order as per the re draw

Mike Mason – Run 6 Catalogue commencing at the middle number of the re draw

all dogs to remain at the designated run until both fields are finished then a complete change over

Presentations will be at the Ross Sports Complex with light refreshments and the bar will be open

Please take time to be organised and be aware of what when and where our schedule will be tight so if you

are prepared we will be organised and our schedule will be met
