Be Snake Savvy

Postby Peter Butterfield » Mon 26 Oct 2015 6:12 pm

Without doubt, snakes must be the No.1 concern of any handler who spends significant time training and trialling gundogs in natural surroundings. Each year about this time, we begin to receive unsettling reports of close encounters (including fatalities) with snakes from every corner of the country. This year being no exception! Many readers here will be all too familiar with these slithering pests and have plans on how best to avoid them and what actions to take if and when confronted by a snake. For those who may not, we have prepared and posted an article titled Be Snake Savvy - Advice for Gundog Handlers which can be viewed at http://retrieving.org.au/ra/articles/snakes/Snakes.html.

We hope you find it useful.
