Gundog Club of WA AA results 8 May

Postby Marilyn Dawson » Mon 09 May 2022 9:44 am

The Gundog Club of WA enjoyed perfect autumn weather for their first ALL AGE trial of the year on Mother’s Day, Sunday, 08 May 2022.

Judge, Mr Allan Bartram, assisted by Chief Steward, Mrs Catherine Thorburn, set a lovely testing trial, making great use of the undulating terrain.

Stewards were a bit thin on the ground with Mother’s Day commitments and illness impacting our numbers. Regardless, thanks to a brilliant team effort, we got the birds where they needed to go. Big round of applause to Catherine wearing a second hat as a field steward, Sally Hudson, who came to learn how to Gun Steward and did an excellent job, Anthony Nesbitt, Maggie Hankinson, and Judy Pannett stepping in for the last run.
Thanks also to the competitors who fetched and carried, exercised stewards dogs etc when needed to keep things running smoothly.
Our thanks to the property owners for allowing us to use their beautiful property near Morangup for the trials over the weekend and to Ray Johnson for organising permission to use the site.
