Labrador Club of WA AA 14 August

Postby Marilyn Dawson » Tue 16 Aug 2022 10:00 am

The Labrador Club of WA held their final All Age stake for 2022, competing for the Flash Memorial Shield, on Sunday 14 August and were delighted to finally welcome our judge, Mr John Nairn (SA) on the third year of attempting to travel to WA. After some rather miserable weather on Saturday, we enjoyed a lovely sunny day for Sunday’s trial.

Our thanks to the property owners for allowing us to use their beautiful property on the Mortlock River near Goomalling and to Ray Johnson for arranging permission to use the site.

Grateful thanks to Allan Bartram for a magnificent job Chief Stewarding not only the Flash but also the Cup the previous day and also to Catherine Thorburn for secretarial assistance and making lunches, as well as hosting our judge for his stay in WA, greatly appreciated.

A big round of applause to those very important people, our stewards, some of whom were new to the sport, they did an outstanding job and we can’t run trials without your support.

Special thanks to our Co-Patrons Kelly Ingraham, on behalf of the late Sandra Ingraham, and Maggie Hankinson for donating a Pampered Pet Mats Voucher and bottle of wine for today’s winner.

We would also like to mention the competitors who followed directions, fetched, carried and towed, and helped when needed to keep things running smoothly, thank you all.

Runs three and four were set on the Mortlock River with plenty of water flowing after the recent rains.
