Victoria is looking forward to welcoming triallers from around the country to Victoria in September 2024 for the National Retrieving Trial.
We are already fielding enquiries about the event and we will in due course be advising everyone of the relevant information as soon as practicable. Having said that we can confirm that there will be three weekends of trialling and they will all be held in the same vicinity these being:

September 7 & 8 – Labrador Retriever Club of Victoria - All Age, Restricted and Novice both days
September 14 & 15 – Victorian State Retrieving Trial Championship
September 20, 21 & 22 - National Retrieving Trial Championship

Location

At this time we are favouring the East Gippsland region (Bairnsdale) HOWEVER most if not everyone would be aware that the Gippsland region over the past few years and as recently as last month have been challenged with bushfires and floods. With this in mind, before we can decide on an exact location we have to work out logistics should we be faced with environmental factors that may impact the ability to run the event.
We will be visiting the region to look at options across Gippsland and as soon as we can, we will be advising the location and accommodation options.
We are planning to have this information available before the end of the year.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND THE SAFETY OF TRIALLERS WILL BE PARAMOUNT THROUGHOUT THE ORGANISATION AND RUNNING OF ALL EVENTS
