RETRIEVING AND FIELD TRIALS CLUB OF SA INC.
Affiliated with the South Australian Canine Association Inc., will conduct a
RETRIEVING TRIAL FOR GUNDOGS
Replica variants of game will not be used
VENUE: Grand Cru Estate, Lot 274 Laubes Road, Springton SA
(The Club reserves the right to alter the venue if necessary - final site selection will depend on environmental factors)
Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2024
Vetting 7.30 - 7.40 am all Stakes both days. Trial Start Time: after completion of vetting.

**Although one Judge is judging two stakes on the same day competitors may enter the same dog in both stakes, if eligible.
Condition of entry: when not running a dog, competitors will be required to act as Gun/Game Stewards.
(The Club reserves the right to engage a Reserve Judge if necessary)
*** Cecil Adkins Novice Encouragement Trophy to be awarded at RAFTCOSA’s first Novice trial of the year. The judge will
select the best dog or bitch that they think will go on to higher stakes in the future. Competitor does not need to finish the trial.

Annual Membership: Single $20.00; Family $25.00, Senior $15.00. Financial Year: 1st October – 30th September.

All competing dogs will be required to be present at time of vetting each day.
The running order may be subject to change after the first run.

TROPHIES & SASHES: Sashes and place cards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each Stake. Trophy 1st place each Stake.
Other prizes where donated.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: All trials will be conducted in accordance with the A.N.K.C./Dogs Australia Rules for the
conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs. A copy of the rules will be available at the fixture.
Firearms Licence/Shooters Licence details are required on ALL ENTRY FORMS and SHOW MANAGER.

If, at close of entries there are insufficient entries to hold a Stake, competitors will be notified. At that time they may
request a refund of entry fee, or if eligible, transfer to another Stake at the appropriate fee.
Dogs SA Extreme Weather and Safety Rules apply. If forecast 48 hours prior - Retrieving, Field and RATG is 32 degrees
Celsius or higher unless there is ample swimming on the property. Bureau of Meteorology (bom.gov.au)
The Trial site is Private Property and must not be revisited following the Trial.
Dogs SA Rules PART VIII EXHIBITIONS C 15. (b) There is to be no training on designated trial grounds within 28 days
before trial. RAFT Covid Plan applicable.
Other than in the Exercise Areas designated by the Trial Manager, or his/her delegates, no dogs will be permitted to
swim or train in or on the trial grounds. All dogs must be kept on a lead, either held in the hand or tethered, except
when competing or being exercised in the designated area. It is the Exhibitors responsibility to find out where the
exercise area is at any time on the trial grounds.
