RETRIEVING AUSTRALIA FORUM

The Victorian Gundog Club held (rabbit) trials for Spaniels & Retrievers last Saturday and Sunday (August 16th & 17th) at Yaloak
The terrain was challenging for dogs and spectators - a steep, wet and muddy hillside with plenty of thick cover.
Lunchtime entertainment on Saturday was supplied by the 4 wheel drive experts trying to extract themselves + trailers from the mud

Thanks Rachel. What was the breed make up (of the dogs)? Don

They were all English Springers except Jack Montasell's two labradors.
Jack found the terrain extremely hard going (as did we all) and, sensibly, pulled out at lunchtime on the first day. It was a pity as his dogs were going well.
