The following sets of rules are scheduled for review over the next couple of years in order for the new rules to take effect from 1 January 2015: Rules for the Conduct of Field Trials for Spaniels & Retrievers and Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Trevor Stevens or Margaret Hall about he process.

All triallers interested in the changes to Spaniel & Retrieving rules need to contact Darren Smith (RAFT Delegate) for the date of meetings.

So get your thinking hats on and put forward any changes you would like to see discussed as part of this process, now is your chance to get things changed if there is enough support for the changes.

Thanks Margaret for preparing this post. You have made my job of communicating the NSW version of the process to our triallers much easier.

To all NSW Triallers:

The following sets of rules are scheduled for review over the next couple of years in order for the new rules to take effect from 1 January 2015: Rules for the Conduct of Field Trials for Spaniels & Retrievers and Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs

The NSW RAFT committee is calling for submissions from all interested triallers as part of our process of reviewing these Rules.

The ANKC has put in place a very strict time frame for all member bodies to undertake this review:

2013 – Submissions to be called for from Member bodies with a July close off date for these submissions to be received by the ANKC administrator.

October 2013 - ANKC Administrator to distribute to all Member Bodies the agenda for the 2014 Meeting which will include all the proposed changes from each state.

2014 June -National RAFT Committee meeting where the changes will be voted upon by all member bodies in attendance at the National RAFT meeting.

2014 September -Minutes of the June 2014 National Committee meeting receives ANKC Ltd electronic ratification.

2014 October -Once the minutes receive ANKC Ltd ratification, a copy of the new amended rules will be made available (in addition to the existing rules) on the ANKC Ltd website. They will be clearly identified as effective from 1 January 2015.

2015 - New rules will be effective.

To facilitate this process NSW is adopting the following timetable:

All submissions to be received by Dogs NSW Office by Friday,24th May 2013
[Note: As the new format for submissions is now somewhat complicated and possibly beyond the computer skills of some members all submissions in written form will be accepted at this initial stage]

A Meeting of all interested triallers to discuss the above RETRIEVING TRIAL submissions only will be held on Monday,3rd June 2013. Details of meeting time and place will be notified through Dogs NSW monthly magazine.

After discussion of proposals at this meeting the accepted rule changes will be prepared and submitted in the new format to the
ANKC administrator before the July closing date.

Subsequent to October 2013 and prior to June 2014 a further meeting will be called to determine and advise the NSW vote.
