2016 – 47th National Retrieving Championship NSW
Day 1 Joe Barber – First run Double mark and Blind up a gully with rabbit diversion.
Second run mark to the right, long mark to the left with a double fall
Marks First run Triple mark across gully and up a rise long tough marks.
Double blind down a gully with a mark on the left falling out of site in a gully
The weather was very ordinary with wind and rain showers all day
I understand the low Numbers group survived the day with 9 dogs left after 4 runs.
Richard Eaton Wells with 2 dogs, Kevin Andrews, Gareth Tawton with 3 dogs, John Stott, J Lawton, H Cornelius.
High numbers have 7 dogs after 4 runs
Russell Whitechurch with Chief and Maggie, Arrow was scratched, Dianne McCann Lani, Karl Britton, Ron Jackson, Greg Playdon, Jack Lynch.
Two runs Saturday and Sunday with vetting starting at 07:30 hopefully the weather improves overnight and we are on a new property tomorrow.
Day 2 with 16 starters. Lots of rain overnight. The judges are in the process of resetting runs as all water runs have been washed away
First run today Mark Sargison with a mark, blind amongst the rocks and a two bird off the blind and a short relocation on the mark – lost two dogs on this run D McCann and Richard EW with shadow
Second run with Joe Barber short walkup mark and a long double rise on the left up high amongst the rocks – lost one dog on this run Kevin Andrews
So day three will commence with 13 dogs with some water work
