2006 AWRC Retrieving Dog of the Year

Hi all

Apologies for the delay in getting the pointscore for this year up and running. With the assistance of Noel Eltringham and Bob Tawton, I have now got a system for recording and verifying the results up and running.

Noel and Bob have agreed to check my data entry and confirm that all records are accurate before they are posted. This may result in a short delay following each trial before an update is posted, but should ensure that the results are accurate. If you spot an error, please send me an email. I will also from time to time post the full spreadsheet I am using to track the results so people can see the details.

I would like to thank Laraine Frawley for all of her work last year. Laraine entered the names of most of the dogs competing last year and saved a lot of work this year.

Good to see some GSPs in the standings.
We couldn't find Heather Reynolds' GSP Ch Tealpoint Jumpin Jack Flash who, handled by Trevor Lodder, beat Trevor's Chessie into 2nd place at a trial in Qld a couple of weeks ago. The Chessie is number 35 in the list.
Are the dogs in this list only those whose owners belong to the AWRC?

Hi Chris, I think that the trial that Heathers dog won in was a sweepstakes - which is for trainee judges so not an 'official' as such trial

From a quick scan I can't find the result you are refering to. Do you mean the trial on 2 April? The pointscore is based solely on results posted here. In the case of hte 2 April trial, I have worked from the results posted here.

Joanne is right about the sweepstakes, only places in official novice, restricted, all age and championship trials count toward the pointscore. It includes all dogs regardless of whether their handlers visit this site.
