Congratulations to all who did well at these trials, but a special congratulations to our Canberra locals: Bob for his All Age win Saturday, Gary for his Restricted win on Saturday, and I believe that must be Megs NRD title with that win, and to Lara and my fave GSP boy (barring my own LOL), Polo, for winning Novice both days and bringing up their NRD title. Well done guys!!!

Cheers

Thanks for posting the pics, Lara :D We are fortunate in this sport to spend our weekends on such beautiful country. Thank you again to the very generous property owners.

It is also nice to see such a diverse range of breeds successfully competing in NSW at the moment. Appearing in the results for this trial we had German Shorthaired Pointers, German Wirehaired Pointer, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Golden Retriever and Flat Coated Retriever (go the Flatheads! :D ) plus a Vizsla and a Weimaraner. Hopefully these dogs will maintain momentum through AA so we can start to see the same diversity at the highest level of competition.

Best of luck to everyone heading into the pointy end of the season - State Championships and the National. :D

Cheers

I agree Kirsty, great to see the diversity of breeds competing and doing well. I must say that the countryside still looks very dry up there, we have been fortunate to have had a reasonable amount of rain in the last month and it has made a difference down south. You still only need to dig to spade depth to hit dry but at least the grass is growing and green!

Hi Diane,

One of the locals might have to confirm or deny but I think the pics make it look worse than it really is. There was a bit of moisture in the ground but the native grasses tend to die off a bit over winter. The stuff that was mown short up around the cabin was quite green...

Glad to hear you guys have got some of the wet stuff. Hope there's more to come!

Cheers
