GSP Litter (International Pedigree)
Posted: Thu 23 Oct 2008 8:28 amOur much anticipated GSP litter from frozen semen arrived safely on Friday 17 October 2008 with a few more pups than anticipated.
2 liver/white males, 2 liver/white females and 3 solid liver females.
They have an outstanding international pedigree, not seen in Australia for some time.
The Sire is American Champion Laden Field's Perfect Storm (USA). His sire is American Champion & NAVHDA Versatile Champion Shade Mtn Reveille At Dawn JH. His dam is sired by International Champion & Kurzhaar Sieger Orson Vom Pottsiepen (Germany), descended from 3 generations of Kurzhaar Sieger dogs and bitches. Her dam is sired by International Champion & Dual Champion Ruger V Haven SH (a litter brother of the mighty Dual Ch AFC Trekker V Grunbaum UDX TDX MH MX AJX).
The Dam is Australian Champion Oakridge Five Magics CD QC. Her sire is Dual Ch (R) Oakridge Argonaut CDX. Her brother is Ch Oakridge Fernando AARD. Her dam is Ch Oakridge Britanias Realm ET, descended from KS Dolf vom Wittekind (Germany). Her sire and dam have produced GSPs titled in retrieving, tracking (championship), obedience (championship), endurance and conformation.
This litter combines lines we already have from America (Storm's paternal grandsire and Trekker) with proven dual purpose lines in Australia. The Germans developed this breed to be a versatile hunting dog and we strive to maintain that standard.
