ENTRY FEE: $60.00 per dog
Dogs that have not been awarded a title of RRD, RT Ch, or AARD must have proof of eligibility with their entry.

DRAW: A public draw will be conducted on Wednesday August 23rd, 2023 at the DogsWest grounds, Meeting Room 1 commencing at 7pm. All are welcome to attend.

FIREARMS INDEMNITY:
Any person using the DogsWest firearms must sign a waiver indemnifying DogsWest against any claim for injury or damage that they might suffer arising from the use of the firearms.

VETTING: To be conducted each day on site at 7.30am. Gates open at 7 am.
All dogs to be kept in vehicles until called for vetting, then kept on lead or tethered, except when competing or exercising in the designated area. No dogs will be permitted in the gallery.
BITCHES IN OESTRUM: No bitches in oestrum will be permitted to compete. They may be on the property, but distanced from the vicinity of the trial site and runs, as well as exercise areas.

The 2023 WA State Championship Retrieving trial will be conducted under the Rules for the Conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs, as approved by the Australian National Kennel Council and, the regulations of the Canine Association of Western Australia (Inc).
CANINE ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA (INC) - SHOW REGULATIONS
1. All dogs entered in a Sanctioned Show or Trial must be registered with, and owners be financial members of a State Controlling Body affiliated with the Australian National Kennel Council or the N.Z. Kennel Club.
2. In order to enter for any Sanctioned Show, Trial or Test in Western Australia, persons normally resident in Western Australia must be financial members of the Canine Association of Western Australia (Inc).
3. No dog may be entered in a Sanctioned Event unless it is registered and/or transferred to the owner before 5:00pm on the Monday, the closing date of that particular show. It is the owner’s responsibility to verify that the transaction has been affected.
4. It is the owner’s responsibility to see that all dogs are entered in their correct class.
5. Entries may be refused if not made out in accordance with the rules of the Canine Association of Western Australia (Inc).
Governing Council advises action may be taken against owners contravening these regulations.

NOTE: “Sanctioned Show/Trial” means any Championship Show, Open Show, Parade, Retrieving Trial, Obedience Trial, Agility Trial or Endurance Test.

The order of running for competitors will be determined by public draw.
The competing field may be divided in accordance with Rule 80 and as determined by the Trial Committee.
A reserve judge may be appointed if necessary.
There will be immediate elimination for any dog who fails to complete a retrieve.
CATERING: Please BYO refreshments.
TROPHY PRESENTATION:
To be held at the conclusion of the trial on Sunday 10th September, at the Toodyay Recreational ground pavilion from 2pm to 5pm.
