With sad news I was told of Bill Eckett,s passing yesterday, Bill came to Australia many years ago and ran training seminars, before my time but to those that new Bill had nothing but praise, Bill and Becky had Blackwater Retrievers near Kansas plus another winter training facility in Texas, Bill and Becky trained over 60 field trial champions as well as 4 National winners.
Bill did his aprenticeship under the legend Jim Swan, Bill had suffered from Cancer for quite awhile, very sad day to hear of his passing and our thoughts and prayers are with the Eckett family.

Oh my, what a shock. I had no idea that he was ill, how very sad for everyone. I attended Bill's seminar and he was a delight

Yes,I had read about it on the US website. Very sad. He changed for ever the way most of us train our dogs in Australia.
